Welcome to Sunny Bay!
Almost all of our products are handcrafted and unique, and the ones
that are not handcrafted are still rather unusual. Some items have
stories behind them, like the recycled wire beaded animals from
Zimbabwe. They're made of wire pulled from demolished buildings and
fashioned into amazing beaded creations. Fair Trade practices are in
place and payments made so the artisans can experience a sustainable
livelihood in the midst of an unpredictable economy.
Having been accused of continually thinking outside the proverbial
"box", we'll try to suggest some other uses for items whenever we get an
idea. For instance, have you lost one of your favorite earrings and now
have an orphan accessory? Hang it from a curtain rod, fan pull, flower
pot, or lampshade. Clasp broken on a necklace? Use it as a curtain
tie-back or incorporate it into a table centerpiece. Have a sarong you
don't ever wear? They make cheerful table covers, or throws for the
sofa, especially when you want to sneak a 15 minute nap. If you have a
pet who sleeps in the same spot on your chair or sofa, they're great as
you can just throw them in the wash when needed and your sofa will
stay furless. Sarongs can also be terrific window treatments, or a shawl
for a cool night or chilly restaurant. Just think of them as a large piece
of fabric and let your imagination run wild!
We're a growing enterprise, but our biggest concern is our customers. If
